For me, RS14 was a bust. It teaches you to play Rocksmith guitar, not conventional guitar as the rest of the world understand it. The great bulk of RS is gimmiky without the benefit of solid guitar musicianship. Not without some value but an interesting idea that has not reached a mature product as yet. Plenty of better ways to spend your time and cash on in your guitar learning journey. Only an opinion and to RS fans, glad you find it useful, but I think there are more effective ways to go about it.

Hopefully the game gets a proper revival or resurrection one day or some day 😎😎😎😉😉🤔🤔🤔

well your wish is granted Rocksmith Plus has actual teachers in videos to show you what to do now :P granted the song selection is something to be desired but i absolutely love Yousician.

You can group songs by tuning during non-stop play. The game will think and suggest exercises for you when you are having issues. If you mess up on slides then the game will suggest you play something related to slides in guitarcade. Missed that bend because you didn't bend hard enough? The game may suggest you to play Temple of Bends.

Really expensive cable? It's only $40.

It's worth noting that if you don't want to spend a lot of money on the official DLC, you can just buy Cherub Rock and then you can add custom song charts the community has made.

First of all, really good quick video abt the SE! Finally a youtuber that reduces one statement into one sentence that surely is refreshing (even though u posted this on 2017 so idk maybe your style changed up until now lol). Personally, I don't agree w the graphic stuff you mentioned. "Agree" also is the wrong word but I think what gives off the most charm are the strange graphics and low res textures (even tho I would've appreciated as well if they changed into high res textures). Guess that argument is thrown out the window with the new remake tho. I also don't believe it's exactly the same as the PS2 title. Ofc, it's the SE, but if I remember correctly they changed the characters speed + camera movement for the SE alone. Also, it's buggy af, which the original (gamecube wise speaking) didn't suffer from. Minor stuff, but for me as a HM maniac this stood out to me. But yeah, as I said, great video, wished more ppl would keep their reviews to 2min.

It's definitely not a game for everyone. To me it feels like a massive waste of time, but others say it's relaxing. Eh, whatever floats your boat.

Great review. As a formerly trained classical guitarist (went to college for it) I'd say Rocksmith covers 80% of the technique you need. People complain about the short comings...without stoping to think for a moment. Rocksmith doesn't exist in a vacuum. Buying it doesn't mean you can't get lessons or use books or youtube. But as a tool it is hands down the best tool you can buy if your goal is to play songs and learn technique. When you're learning slowing things down and getting feedback are the two most important things to learning. This does it in spades. The other is picking up the guitar every day. And this game gives you tons of options for why and how to practice with enough diversity that you have no excuse for "getting bored" There is no better way to learn scales than to riff over chords.
